Ignite Contest is a quarterly run Innovation Contest. Each quarter a particular theme [Business, Social or Technology based] is chosen and the contest gets launched. The contest runs for about 30 to 45 days and then the shortlisting process by the Jury kicks-in. The Ignite link will be available only during the contest active period every quarter.

Problem Statement is more to do with the current situation of the problem in hand. While submitting an idea, typically we try to address an existing problem. This section is used to explain the current situation that we are trying to address with our idea.

This section is used to describe the proposal or the idea in more details. The proposal should be explained keeping the problem statement in mind and how are we going to address the problem in hand with our idea.

This section details about the benefits achieved with the proposed idea. Benefits can be two-fold. Tangible benefits – These are direct benefits like effort reduced, cost reduced or saved etc., In-Tangible benefits or indirect benefits are derived benefits like customer satisfaction, improved user experience etc.

If the idea proposed or submitted has been discussed with the Client and if there is an agreement with client to fund the idea, then it qualifies to be an Origination. SOW is a contract signed between Client and Accenture to fund the idea / initiative. If the Idea qualifies to be Origination, please select “Yes” and enter the SOW value associated. If you are not too sure about this, please reach out to your Supervisor.

An Ignite Idea is related to the recently launched / active Ignite Contest. Ideas that are aligned with the current Ignite Theme are only to be submitted under Ignite Ideas. On the other hand, a Generic idea can be addressing any problem and can be submitted throughout the year. It need not be specific to any theme / technology area / problem statement.

Yes. Navigate to My Idea Section in the portal. Apply Filter as “Generic Ideas”. All the Generic Ideas submitted by you will be listed. Use the option “Move to Ignite” to port the Generic Idea to the Ignite Contest. Please ensure the Idea to be ported is relevant to the current Ignite Theme.
